The tantrum was my first invert... I started learning a lot of other tricks, and slowly have lost the tantrum. I want to learn the tantrum based tricks, but i can't seem to get my tantrum back. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm throwing it way out into the flats and not up enough, and i feel like i am throwing the rotation too much and not getting kicked up and around. Also when i get a lot of height, it always spins to fakie and get worked.... any help would be great, cause it's starting to piss me off... _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

Ok, lets take it one problem at a time.
"I'm throwing it way out into the flats and not up enough"
You are most likely edging all the way through the wake, which is giving you the distance, but what gives you the straight up pop is letting off your edge at the top of the wake.
"i feel like i am throwing the rotation too much and not getting kicked up and around"
Again, what gives you the rotation is coming off your edge slightly at the top of the wake. Its kind of like tripping backwards over the wake.
"Also when i get a lot of height, it always spins to fakie and get worked"
Ah, pretty simple solution there. When you are going up you are doing one of two things, or both. One, you are pulling the handle across your body. Lots of times when we go big we bring the handle in some so we don't get yanked on the landing, you may be pulling it towards your back shoulder instead of your ribs. Two, you could be looking over your front shoulder at the boat or to spot the landing. Make sure when you throw the tantrum your head goes straight back and stays there. Your body will follow your head.
Hope that helps some, feel free to email me if you have any other questions. tiffany@glassandpowder.com
