i can do crows now and on the trampoline i can do both of these tricks even with a homemade board on my feet. i have tried a couple hs oa 3's on the water but they always turn into oa 5's. should i stick with the hs approach or try ts oa 5's? i heard those were easier anyways.

I just finished watching this section of "the book". If you want to go for the on axis 3, you need to wait until you're off the wake to start spinning and pull your handle to the flats on your landing to stop your rotation. Whichever one you try, good luck.
WilsonH, oa means off axis. On axis would just be a regular 3.
mwhit, I was in the same boat as you. Had both of them on the tramp but kept over-rotating the 3. I could never get the handle on the tsOA5.
I ended up reaching for the handle on the OA3 really early and was able to slow my rotation down. Now I'm working on the hs Ole 5. I've put the board on the water a few times, it's just really tough to see the landing.
That's my experience. Maybe I'll give the tsOA5 another try. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone.
