Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a new wakeboard. The one I have now is basically $50 of stuff I bought at Dick's a while ago. So this will be my first "real" board. My skill level is probably low-intermediate; easy to get up and ride, but just learning to get some high on my jumps. The problem i've come across with buying a good board is that myself and two other brothers will be sharing it, (Im 17, with a 15 and 20 year old brothers). So any ideas, suggestions, anything, please help.

The one ive been looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350223408578&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX_Stores&refitem=130315052328&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget&_trksid=p284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%252BP%252BS%252BIA%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D4%26ps%3D10

I've been researching like crazy and that looks like an alright deal for the price.

I'm assuming your on a budget here. Otherwise I would say there are some other good combos for the $350-400 range you might enjoy as well.

I've seen gator, but haven't considered it. It seems like Liquid Force/Hyperlite/Ronix are your best bet.

What size board and bindings do you need? I'll see what I can find thats a rockin deal..

Well id say I'm about 5'7 weighing around 150 (all muscle) haha

But the weight range for all three of us would be like 140-170. Foot sizes are probably from 10.5 to around 12.

Any help would be amazing.

Ok, here is what I would get.

Wakeboard:

137 - Hyperlite Apex - $149.99 on ebay w/free shipping

http://boardersmall.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17990&cat=599&page=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/Hyperlite-Apex-3-Stage-Rocker-Wakeboard-137-cm_W0QQitemZ370217459216QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5632ae1e10&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

I've ridden this board and it's pretty versatile. I think 137cm would be suitable for all of you, and leave room to grow in to.

I'm looking around for bindings now..

2007 Liquid Force Transit - $150

http://cgi.ebay.com/07-Liquid-Force-Transit-Wakeboard-Binding-11-12-LF7P47_W0QQitemZ180375433172QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item29ff36afd4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

I am friggin sold on these bindings. I hate the 2009 design, but 2007 and 2008 look fine.

You're gonna be in a pickle, since you're trying to fit 10-12 size feet, and decent bindings come in like 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, etc. So you may have to either go one size up and they'll be slightly big for one of yah, or settle for a more "versatile" boot. Read that as "not as good". Smile

Scour these forums a bit more on bindings. But I like anything with a two lace system, so you can tighten your foot and ankle separately.
