I've been riding my buddies 2005 Bylerly and it's time to buy my own board and bindings. I like how it rides. His bindings were garbage though. I've ridden transits and like those. So, I'm 100% set on transit bindings. I need size 9-10. Saw some on $159.99. Anyone with used ones, I'm all ears.

My main issue is finding a board similar to the Byerly that isn't super expensive. Bottom line, I'm not spending $700 on a board. Any tips / suggestions on a board that is similar to this and can be found in a closeout/demo model? Is the LF PS3 similar?

I've been scouring the net and found some decent stuff. But looking for some inside info.

Been lurking this site for a week or two. I must say it rocks.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 6'0, about 180 lbs.

I'm still riding an 04 hyperlite byerly 137 with the 08 Byerly Closed toe boots

but that twin tip axe head shape has always been my favorite. I know boards have gotten a lot lighter in the past few years but the strength of this ride is epic. Nice 3 stage rocker with molded fins. I ride finless of course. anyone care to give feedback? Will a lighter board really improve my riding substantially? I Just dialed in tantrums, and 2 seasons ago i landed a sketchy HS Backroll to blind. one attempt came up to short and toeside edge dug firmly into the lip and I was knocked right out. Now i'm sketching about throwing that invert again.

Is my ride outdated!??!

Damn, almost got knocked out? Sounds like I better invest in a helmet, pronto!!!

I'm having trouble finding a good score on the Transit bindings. I guess for $159.99 on ebay that ain't too bad.

Do you like those Byerly closed toe boots? I should get some CT just cause that seems like the "cool" thing to do! Very Happy

Would a liquid force ps3 in 139/141 be a good choice? I'm seeing the 08's for $199.99.

Yah I should be going out and buying a helmet now haha. Still havent learned my lesson i guess.

the boots i found on ebay for 275 after shipping and duty. I've only ridden them about 15 times this season and they are nice. Without the toungue stifners... and i ride em with the riser pads for a tighter fit but they are pretty damn comfy.
