Your going to have to adjust to it. fins/no fins are just a personal preference really.

So you fin riders, after you adjust to it, can you break the board loose for board slides and surface 360s anytime you want?

I rode the lyman last season and i definitely had to put the fins on...it was super slick to me with them off, even with them on its a really loose board. The board tracks well and has a pop that takes you more up and out, takes you more into the flats. The landings felt pretty soft to me.

yea I've heard what jeff7 described.. pretty loose even with the fins. just adjust to it like shaggyboarder said and when you do try surface spins just make sure you're riding flat and not on an edge.

Interesting. I'll ride it fins on and see if I can adjust. I haven't ridden it with the watsons yet, just my LF ultras. Maybe the extra control will help me out breaking it loose as well.
I will also try to make sure I'm flattened out before doing the s3. Thanks guys

I got the same board with Vantage bindings. I'm still getting used to it myself. I do notice it is pretty fast on edge, it pops better than my old board, it seems to lan a little softer and it is really slick when you break it loose. I've fallen a lot trying to do surface tricks, which I'm not really all that good at yet anyway.

Wakeboarder3780 I started the season out on the 09 Ronix One, but came back home to LF once I rode my buddies S4. I loved the tracking on it and something about the toeside pop won me over. It is a great board but alot more grippy than the lyman. I like the Ronix One alot but I couldn't ever get it to land soft.

Josh 154, I agree it looks pretty neat, but I wouldn't mind a little more color. That's a whole lot of back together
Anyways, you guys were totally right, I threw the fins on again last night and I could break it loose anytime I wanted. The board rides a perfect amount of loose just the way it is with 4 fins.
Not sure what I was doing the first time, unless those watsons gave me more control and i could break it loose better with them than my 05 ultras..
Okie Boarder, Didn't know you were riding this board. Man you and I have the same age boat (roughly), have the same issues with our boats, and ride the same board. That's crazy. Hey what did you ever do with your stringer issue? I'm still sitting on mine..

Wakeboarder3780, I haven't really messed with it anymore at this point. When I'm ready to take the time for a quick project, I'm going to just rough it up and cover the crack with some fiberglass and epoxy. The information I got back from the PO makes me feel pretty good. This winter, I may drill some pilot holes in a couple areas to see what the wood looks like.
