Whats up guys, I just started trying to do tricks on my wakeboard this summer, and when I try to jump the wake I'm getting plenty of length of my jump, but I'm not getting much heighth at all and I'm confused on what I need to do.

If anybody can help me with this, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Welcome to wakeboarder.com

You're almost certainly charging the wake and trying to clear it with speed, not technique.

right when you get to the lip of the wake go straight leged. that plus a good cut and some speed, and you'll fly...

kcdeE, the videos HHI Dave linked to should help, and he's probably right about you charging the wake. Put some extra emphasis on holding the handle low to your lead hip. This can usually make a good 2' difference in height while you're just getting started on wake jumps. If you have a video, try to post it up. These guys can probably tell you specifically what you need to do differently, but being able to see yourself do it, then compare it to those linked videos can help you self-coach yourself.
