i am looking to buy i wake board. im a beginner but i do have experience in other board-sports and im pretty coordinated and a fast learner, so i think i could handle an intermediate/advanced board. im looking for something pretty easy to ride, and that can be used aggressively for tricks and getting air thats somewhere around the 400$ price range (including bindings). ive been to my local board shop and i think ive narrowed it down to a few-
hyperlite state w/ vario bindings
hyperlite motive w/ vario bindings
(also considering hyperlite premeire and forefront, but theyre a little pricey)

ive done a ton of researching online and they all seem like good boards. please let me know which of these i should get, or let me know of other ones. Also let me know what bindings i should consider

I don't really know, my local boardshop doesn't carry much liquidforce. I have looked online at the liquidforce PS3 though. Should I go with a liquidforce

You're really lucky to have a local board shop. Will they let you demo? If so, then that's the best possible way to pick a new setup. If not, you can at least try on some bindings. Proper fitting, good quality bindings are the key. People seem to get so caught up in "which board should I buy" that bindings become an afterthought.

Can't really comment on the Hyperlites you mentioned though I'm sure they're all good boards. The only Hyperlite board I've ridden in the last year or so was a B Side. I really liked the way it rode but it was the mid-sized one (one-thirty-something) so it was a bit small for me.

Everyone has their own brand loyalties. I'm a self-admitted Liquid Force fanboy. Laughing The reality is, all of the established board companies are putting out quality products. LF, HL, Ronix, Obrien, CWB, Gator...take your pic.

I ride the Liquid Force PS3 and it is my favorite board i have ridden so far... its super fun. So i say go with the PS3 but i think i am being a little biased Smile which ever board you choose should be good though...and HHI Dave I am also a huge Liquid Force Fan...i have ridden the hyperlite premier and everything else i have ridden has been Liquid Force and from my experience anything other than Liquid Force is just too heavy

I ride a premier, and really like it. I will warn you though, if you are completely new the premier is kind of unforgiving of improper egdeing. Other then that it's great.
