So does anyone else get really sore abdominals the first couple weeks out riding? I think it's caused by the crashes and extending backwards while getting whipped into the water. Anyway they can get really bad for me and I was wondering if anyone else experienced it.

I work out and everything and I even try to do backflips (on ground) fairly regularly so I work the muscles in an expanding way instead of contracting. Doesn't seem like i can prevent it?

I just sneezed at work (quiet office environment) followed by a groan of pain. I'm sure I'm sounding insane. Very Happy

First 2 or 3 times it's a whole body sore type deal. After that I only get sore if I have a bad fall.

I think you are on the right track. This isn't likely muscle fatigue if it lasts more than a few days. You are probably pulling the muscle from catching your heal edge. I've done it and it took a month to fully heal. Had a budy do it and his stomach was super black and blue and he was out for even longer.

I suppose it can happen anytime but you are going to be much more prone to pulling a muscle like that if you don't fully warm up first. Also, if you know you are going to catch a heel edge your body usually tries to do a sit up motion which if you can avoid will help.
