I ride with fins. I thought about taking them off, but then I decided to hell with it. I like em on, and don't care to spend the time learning to ride with them off. However, they are only like .5" so they aren't that big.

I rode with fins the first day riding, finless after that. Will feel really loose in the beginning but once you learn to ride you will not know the difference and will not miss the fins. My boards do have molded fins though.

Also, I am much less likely to catch edges on w2w landings, surface spins and butterslides. And I really hate face plants. Laughing

I've been riding finless this summer and I'm having alot more fun.....I'm able to do more than just jump and hurt myself. I only miss the fins when my legs get tired cuz you really got to work at it.

poll doesn't really work out unless you take into account that some people have featureless bottoms nowadays.

I ride a response so I'm ridin fins, but when I was on a trip I was finless

I use fins, don't see the benefit of riding without for myself. I've got no problems breaking the board loose if I want to do things like butterslides and whatnot and I don't want any kind of squirrely landings.

Probably has more to do with just being used to riding with them in though really.

Took them off after my first couple of months back on the board, and liked it a lot better. Was a little odd at first, but I feel like I learned to edge better without them.

I like to ride finless better but currently ride with fins since my PBV2 doesn't have them molded in Sad . Sticks a lot more than I want it to but I just need to go to a shop and get smaller ones.

I'd conjecture that this counts as "finless" because in the traditional sense they have two fins on each end, and no middle. I also am on a SS Response, but voted finless.

Riding with mine in on the 3ds, but they are smaller than the 1.1's that came with. I think they are .8 or .7

I like it. It breaks loose, but as plenty of hold and traction for landings.

I ride with .7 a wings and the molded in ones on the board. The 1.5 ers that came with my motive were way too big and annoying, after riding for a couple months finless I decided I wanted a little bit more locked in so I picked up some . 7s from the local shop for free. I've got a covenant for fun though, so its nice to have a little of both worlds.

Same here, although I am about to be riding a response so not sure if I will put some small fins on it.

I have to say that, riding with or without fins behind a boat is completely different then when you ride at a cablepark, to get air behind a boat fins arent so important, but at a cablepark you need a really killingstrongedge (what a word) to get in the air, fins might be usefull.

Junior, it's funny that you say that when the two boards listed on your profile have some of the longest/deepest molded fins available. The term "finless" is a misnomer. True finless boards are Slingshot or Roams and for wake riding they just don't work so hot finless, not saying some can't make it happen.

That being said, I ride a Transcend with molded fins but don't use the extensions, I ride with 4 corner fins.

I ride with 4 corner fins, but they are the ones that are curved toward the centerline of the board. Thinking about pulling them off and putting some shorter and straighter ones in their place to make it easier to break them loose.

I just thought I was doing something wrong. There is two VERY SMALL fins at each end.

I've always ridden with fins. But the last few years getting into wakeskating changed that. The finless skates are so loose that when I would switch back to a wakeboard with center fins I'd end up catching them on butterslides or something stupid. I pulled them off 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Now my Watson feels almost too tight even without fins.

I've always liked the stability of big center fins, but I actually think it's been holding me back on my tricks, because I think it's caused me to fall a lot if I'm not really precise on landings. I just got a new LF witness, and I'm not going to put the center fins on and see how it does with just the molded corner fins. I'm going to try the loose feel this year. Anyone want my LF 1.1" fins and bolts?
