no vid. but i'll try to explain my best. Im riding behind a '04 nautique (slalom boat) w/ no tower.
I take a wide cut into the flat, take a very hard cut into the wake, once i get to the trough i started edging on my toeside edge and let go w/ one hand. I'm not getting much pop, but i bring my knees to my chest and land on either my knees or stomach just about every time.
hmmm. |

| you need to come in under control...i wouldnt describe a tantrum.s cut bing "very hard"...wait for pop. the wake will start the flip.... and its a tantrum not a back tuck. theres no need for knees to chest. |

Indeed, do not bring your knees to your chest. Stand tall when you hit the wake, this'll give you maximum pop. When leaving the wake, wait a split second before initiating the rotation, don't throw it too early. Also while in the air there's no need to bring your knees to your chest. A big laid out tantrum looks better anyway! However the 'tucked' version will make you able to grab it...
Good luck! _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

| When i do mine i dont switch edges from heelside to toeside so much as i just let off my heelside edge and stand tall and i get plenty of pop.. try just letting go with your back hand and looking STRAIGHT BACK over your shoulders |

| went out today with the video camera, looked at the film, everything looks good until 3/4 of the way through the trick. Once i get halfways i start adding in a 180 to the trick and don't get the full rotation, what's the cause for this and what can i do to prevent it? |

mm, computer won't recognize my 10 year old camera... surprise.
i'll explain my best. I'm getting enough pop for the tantrum. I get half way through the rotation when i start twisting and don't finish the trick and land on my butt. it looks like im doing a body variel. backflip 180, but not to blind. |

| make sure you are looking STRAIGHT back over your shoulders... my friend had the same problem when she did hers.. if your not looking straight back you wont rotate straight and you will get off axis |

Looking straight back and equal weight on both feet are the most probable solutions. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |
