should hook up one of these days. I don't board much, but surf every chance I get.
probably don't board much as I am not real good at it, but hoping to see small improvements this year...
weather is crappy this weekend, but hoping next Smile

btw, did you see they are toying with a boat ban on lowell?

what? that is stupid. its the largest lake around here, unless you want to go all the way to cascade. but ya, i dont have a boat that i can surf behind, but my tower should be back from the powder coater by then. (stupid O/B)

has to do with the wildlife sanctuary. something about boating not on the comprehensive plan, and has been allowed for years, but they are looking to revise the policy. it didn't sound like the gov't was against boating, just wanted to make sure that boating is within the intended use of the wildlife area. bass guys are all up in arms and figure they will engage the fight the hardest, so we do have a voice.
I envision it will end up being speed controlled and no-wake around the perimeter and a large section on the northeast off limits to motorized traffic. that should serve all interested parties.
we always do lowell until early june. nasty after that, but so much warmer than lucky peak. we then head to peak for the rest of the season. cascade and cj are too far and too shallow for my taste, and haven't been to arrowrock. plan on making it this year, but not sure when. hoping the weather finally breaks next weekend and can get the wetsuit out Smile

ehh, who needs a wetsuit!! i was going to go out may 15th rain or shine, atleast for one pull!

and for boating at lowell, that is crazy, if i need to sign a petition, just let me know. i will, and i can get all my drunk friends to sign as well. they enjoy getting tossed off the tube at mach 1! not much for boarding tho, it takes to much skill for them i think.

gettin too old for the cold water. last year at lowell I was out of a suit by the 15th of may, but lucky peak is still way too cold. I usually don't hit up there until the first weekend of june. by then lowell is a scummy pond.
don't have many drunk friends, at least ones I invite on the boat, so we go to ride, although mostly surf.
temps are looking good for next weekend though Smile

btw, saw the pics of your boat/car and your comment about getting a few looks. I wouldn't look twice.
towed a tri-hull back one afternoon at peak. guy had a rebuilt motor w/ too much hp. blew out the outdrive. family had been fighting for some time. we came along and towed them back. helped load the boat. they were driving a 4dr dodge stratus. yanked that boat out with no issues at all.. I was impressed.
buddy at work is re-doing a boat he plans on using this summer. he has a bagged chevy sonoma. he actually had to turn the hitch the other way to raise the trailer tongue. should be quite a site to see down the road.
whatever gets ya on the water... that's what it's all about.
