Hello all, Im a semi-new rider out of GA. I started riding towards the end of last year once every few weeks and got pretty decent at riding

This year I went out for the first time and cleared a w2w on my first pass!! so needless to say Im pretty siked and wanna go ahead and buy a board.

The board I have been riding on is a Liquid force 134 (don't know the model) I feel pretty comfortable on this board but was thinking of moving up to a 136 for a little more stability (Im not going to be trying anything toooo crazy, just maint want to have fun) BTW I weigh 155 and am 5'10"

Altho I am pretty much a noob, I do not want to get a beginer board and have to buy another one in a year or so. I want this board to last me for a good long while!

I have seen a lot of people talking about the PS3 and also saying to go ahead and get closed toe bindings. What are some other board choices ya'll think would be ok for me. I'll def go ahead with the closed toe (don't know which ones yet) but I am still wandering which board to buy

Also, what do ya'l mean by "riding cable"?

Unfortunatly the only boat I have to ride behind right now is a Hurricane Fundeck. Nice wake but no rack... o well i'll just have to make due

Please any info would be great for this newbie! Thanks in advance

***edit : Im not trying to be completely cheap but I am on a tight budget so got to keep it resonable

I doubt you will see much difference between a 134 and 136 board, probably not enough to warrant the money for the board. How is the board riding now, does it feel fast or is the tail dragging?

A larger board will float you better allowing you to ride the entire board edge and make it faster however might sacrifice some manouverabilty with a larger board, still do not think you would notice much between a 134 or 136.

Before you buy a board determine what you want such as speed, pop looseness etc. Are you going to ride with fins or without. Knowing what you want will aid you in the process of buying a new board. The board shop can give you recommendations on the size board for your height and weight. For you weight probably would stay at 137 or lower.

Cable riding is done at a water park where you are dragged around a course by a cabling system, no boat.

If its between two sizes that are relatively close I would reccomend going with the larger of the two sizes.
