Hi,

I'm looking at getting a Hyperlite B-Side but am just not sure on what length board i should get, either the 136 or the 141. Apparently the longer board gives easier landings and is more forgiving.
I weigh 154pounds (70kg) and am about 6foot (185cm) tall.
Anyone have some opinions please write them up!

Cheers,

Marz

If you only have to choose between those two sizes go for the 141, but I would say try a 138. With you being tall and then super light for your height, you might want to demo some boards first.

How old are you? If you are young, you might be looking at adding 20-30lbs before you get a new board. If that is possible, go with the 141.

Yeah i wish there would be a 138 in between but yeah, its either 136 or 141. I'm 18 and yeah i guess pretty light, dont know if ill put on much weight. hopefully. so i guess the 141 would be the go then?

Sounds like you'll be ready for "a high flying, death-defying, 360" before too long.

"Is it the shoes?"
"No Marz."

Hello Marz, i am 68 Kilo, so arround your weight, and probably also your height (180 cm). I ride a 137cm board, i can recommend you that since a board arround 140 is just too big and clumpsy, you wont get some real control.

medina, so do you reckon a 136 would be better? do you find it hard to land spins? apparently its easier on a longer board?

man, this is confusing Wink i know testing them both would be the way to go but i dont have a board shop near me that sells hyperlite and where i can do that so i'll just have to go off advice.

Well ofcourse its confusing, since everybody has his own values and prefers his board different. For me a longer board is clumbsy and heavier.

I land spins no problem.

Heck, I am 6' 220lbs (ANd no I am not fat... I work out a lot).. ok not ripped up Mens Fitness Model either... but I htink you get my point. I own and ride a Hyperlite Apex 142. So far I have been on a 147 and a 138 size board as well. However, I prefer the smaller board for easier control.

Doesnt really matter, either board will work fine. Since your taller though I would reccomend the 141. The 136 probablly has a narrower stance for us more vertically challenged people.
