Bluefish- wakestock is held at wasaga beach- 1.30 hour from toronto
and the natique Xcup events are all in The muskoka - Kawartha lakes areas.
How far are you about from these areas? 3 hours? `if u ever wanted to compete i could give a room at my cottage for a day or 2 _________________ Ontario Rider

Its kinda wierd, but our grassroots here in Cali dont consist of "tournaments". Grassroots events to us are non-test things where people get together to have agood time, hang out, meet new people, and ride, no matter how good (or sucky) you are. Dam, people are right, Californians are crazy!
Tournaments are good, but they then become tournaments (or even ameature tournys), not grassroots events. I think I have my definitions mixed up!
No matter what they are, wakeboarding rocks!

Maestro, they had last year's events listed on this site, so hopefully they'll update it for this year too.

I used to compete in the Tx INT,HL amatuer tour, and any and all grassroots events over a few period but got tired of paying 40-50 bucks to have the judgeing be way way way way to subjective almost rediculous at times..I know itsa cool hanging out and chilling with friends and meeting new people at these things but you do pay to ride and have fair judging.Im not complaining for just myself a lot of riders were mis placed so many times it gets to be not so fun ..There were times when i think i was going to place and rode real well compared to the rest of the division and others agreed and finish like 11th then other times i think i rode like shiat and would place..Especially the INT these guys in TX are slamors and dont know the first thing about wakeboarders and putting on organized events..Most of us boycott those now they suck pretty bad here..I like hanging out at events but not competing now ,its not fun paying to be ripped off and not feeling like the field is level.Maybe its better in other places but of late things are too unorganized around here..I have better things to do with $40 and waiting all day to ride ..IMO
BTW Freeriding with the br0s cant be beat, that fun..Bring on spring ! _________________ "Thanks for Play'n"
