180s. Frontside then backside. Make sure you can at least ride/carve comfortably switch before you start attempting them. Then work on ollie 180s then wake to wake 180s. I found the toeside 180 to be the easiest to learn. Your body naturally wants to rotate on a toeside jump and landing switch heelside is easier than switch toeside.

Like Wakebrad said, you have to learn the basics first. Can you ride switch? If not, forget about 180's until you can. Can you ollie from all 4 positions? Can you cross the wake in all 4 positions? Can you get any air hitting the wake switch? Are you comfortable doing surface tricks like 1s, 3s, and slides?

My trick list isn't very impressive. In fact, its kind of weak compared to a lot of the riders here. But I have taken the time to learn the basics and I can answer "yes" to all of those questions I asked you.

One thing I love about wakeboarding, there are plenty of ways to challenge yourself other than just throwing huge air tricks across the wake....though those are pretty cool too. Mr. Green

HHI Dave, I agree with you completely. I first did some edgedrills so you learn your board and how it reacts. Powerslides ect are a good excercise. After that 180,s and 180's while switch, do it on on one side of the wake, and then on the other side so you excercise all 4 body positions.

After that ollie's are a good training, and ollie 180's those prepare you to spin later w2w.

I've got hs 180s back/front and landing in the flats down. this summer i hope to land some huge bs 1s out in the flats. i've got ollie front 3s down and hope to learn them w2w but i hardly ever get to ride behind a boat.

really wanting to get switch and ts down this summer for sure.

often people want to learn everything hs and never focus on switch and ts.
