don't be a debbie downer lol we all you know you have personal vendetta with the froggster Laughing
I wonder why he wasn't wearing a vest though...
Personally as long as it's not my boat, I could care less if someone is wearing a vest or not. They know the risk of not wearing one and know the risk they are taking. Hopefully that isn't a habbit for Froggy and he was just doing it for the video.
It's funny though, people surf in much much much more dangerous conditions without vests and it has never been brought up. People drown in surf so it's hard to say that a vest wouldn't help in surf. I wonder why that never caught on?

He was just doing very routine tricks without a vest.

When he decided to try to hit some double ups and started working on stuff he then asked for his vest.

Yea Ive thought about that too, but usually with big surf that you'd drown in duck diving is a must to get out past the break. Might be tough with a vest on...

Like the clip! That guy is ridiculous.

The kid's definitely pickin up some style... I don't buy the argument that Phildo looks like a robot when he's riding anymore. Puttin some distinct flava on those moves, IMO

Surfing is far different from wakeboarding with regards to the vest.

Wakeboarding you are traveling 20+ mph doing high impact moves with a board strapped to you feet which can accentuate crashes.

Surfing is still dangerous but the highest chance of drowning comes from being sucked under by a breaking wave in which case 10-20lbs of flotation isn't going to float you back up right away anyhow.

Probably a lot less chance of getting knocked out in surfing though that is speculation of course.

Well, yeah, but I always wear my vest when I ride my motorcycle in case I ride off a bridge. Mr. Green

Phil should wear a vest, if for no other reason than he is at the top of his game and in the public eye. Lots of young wakeboarders probably idolize him. Gotta set the example.

At any rate, he's a wakeboarding machine and its an awesome video to watch. Thanks for posting it. Cool

Eh, not sure if that's sarcasm or not. Confused Smile

And I'll point out again that it's Phil's responsibility as a "celebrity" to wear a vest, not yours to make him wear one. Wink

Just my opinion. I'm definitely not a safety nazi, but I do wear a vest, no exceptions and require it of everyone who rides behind my boat. Some things you take chances with, and some things you don't.

Also, don't forget that I'm really, really old. Laughing

In FL you can, but you can't do that in a lot of other states.

Maybe you should put a warning intro in your clip about wearing a vest. Maybe its just the fact that I find it easier and more comfortable to ride with a vest and it offers so many advantages like not dying and stuff. I dont see the point of not wearing one. Oh well Its kind of funny like in relentless froggsters face gets owned by a rail and the rest of his section he rides with a helmet go figure Rolling Eyes .

Riding a motorcycle without a helmet is just as smart. Concrete meet head.
