no real grass. has a lifespan of 3-4 years. will be a weekend project every 3 years replacing it, but really looks good. got off ebay. lots of people in cali selling it. looking for some bamboo to cut in 1/4's and use as trim along the top to finish it off.
wanted to do the whole ceiling in bamboo, but WAY too expensive..

Do you have any in progress pics? I would like to see how you framed the stone, etc.

Looks great, but I would definitely get rid/takedown of the "grass hut" effect that's over the grill.

Last thing you need is to set fire to your project after all that hard work. Wink

If he has flames shooting 5 feet above his grill, he should not be allowed anywhere near the thing.

Looks great man, in the second pic, what is that about 3/4 of the way down from the grill? A dishwasher? Trash compactor? Anyway, very nice work.

rock with a hole in the middle that spits water a couple inches into the air, falls back onto itself, drips down and "seems" to disappear, since the rock bubbler is sitting in a rock landscape. I am sure you have seen some around the valley. easy to build and not that expensive, none of the drawbacks of a full waterfall fountain, and still reap the sounds of running water on a patio...
