get an outside line.

8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three
different companies.

10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.

11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.

12. Contractors outnumber permanent staff and are more likely to get
long-service awards.

and the real clinchers are...
13. You read this entire list, and kept nodding and smiling.

14. As you read this list, you think about forwarding it to your
friends.

15. You realize they might have seen it before, but send it anyway.

16.You are too busy to notice there was no No. 9.

17. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a No.9.

MR.C for the record the date issue was when programming became common place in daily business software. Back in the day the programmers did not account for the entire year (century) they programmed everything based on a two digit date like 71 and 81 meaning it was all 19## (1971 or 1981). All most companies did was code up some slider logic to say if the year entered is GE (greater than or equal too) 55 then assume 1955 else 2054. Very few companies actually changed the old code to account for the Century. Now it it is standard practice so it will not be an issue going forward.

I'm not using the exact dates here just showing an example.
