I have been dating this my girl for almost 3 years. I feel like a total douche bag becouse I have been totally unhappy for the entire time but I'm so fregan lame I can't pull the trigger and dump her. In all honesty I just don't want to hurt her feelings and I think it's a comfort thing. She is one of the coolest chicks I have ever met but I'm too shallow and care too much about looks. Well last night I'm black out wasted run into her friend and spill my guts. Pretty much screwed. My chick will be back from PVR tonight pretty sure I'm getting dumped. Thank god. This thread should be titled random self loathing and how to kick one self in the nuts.
P.S. Pretty sure I'm still drunk...
 Time to pour some concrete.

Actually dude, a little piece of advice is that if you're at all unhappy, bail. You're too young to waste time with some chick you're not totally happy with. Especially if its because you've convinced yourself that she's not hot enough for you. When I was a senior at ole miss I dated some girl the whole year that I didn't give a stuff about, but was too lazy to just break up with her. Looking back, I missed a lot of good ass that year because I was a dipship and strung some girl along for no reason. If anything, I made things worse for her by dragging it out. Like a bandaid bro...

Yeah she definently doesn't treat me bad. She is so giving of herself but I just don't feel it. I am the total door knob in this situation. I broke up with her for a couple months a two years back and it really Bubb Rubb her up for awhile and now I am doing it again. Sucks...

| just do both of you a favor and don't string her along because you're scared. i had a very similar situation as you dated for 3 years, lived together for 6 months. i regret never manning up and telling her there was no future. i kept her at arms length for many months after she moved out and i feel horrible about it to this day.

speaking from a girls point of veiw I would rather be dumpted then strung along , obviously shes going to be mad and not going to lie, the whole not hot enough reason dose seem pretty shallow but if it matters that much to you do what you gotta do and good luck just make sure you won't regret it, cause there's no guaranty this time shes not going to find some hotter guy and not want you back

I've been guilty of the string along a million times in my life. It's easy advice to give: make a clean break and never call her again. But it is so hard to actually pull the trigger and follow through with it. But you are too young to spend one more day with anyone that you truly don't have a future with. Of course, take this advice with a grain of salt since I've been divorced twice and I'm currently dating my second wife and we are moving back in together...

Here's the thing... in the vast majority of long term relationships, one person is always happy and more interested in the relationship than the other person... so, you could break up with her, and go through all the b.s. of finding someone you're happy with, and eventually find out she's not interested in you... or you could just marry this chick and spend the rest of your life with her and be happy that you actually found somebody that loves you...
