Hangover thread...

Oh dear god, I can smell beer in my sweat. did you know that green beer equals green poo? Had a fun night, my favorite little college bar had a block party, so rather than go in to the bar and pay cover and then wait in line for beer, I just went to the liquor store in the same parking lot and got some green tall boys. Then made it to a buddies house for his birthday, where I learned that Car Bombs aren't great nightcaps. I was still pretty heavily intoxicated when I was supposed to wake up and take girlie home, so I let her take the car. So now I'm broke, carless, and have jackhammers at the base of my skull. Happy Hangover Day!

Yup, definitely missed class this morning.. and the one in 20 minutes. I'm going back to the dark confines of my bedroom and not coming out till tomorrow. 3 Dollar pitchers are ... fun at the time. Right now? not so much.

LakeIolaLuke, that sucks man!! I feel your pain, but fortunately i did not drink last night. We got drug tested for the hospital today and if your pee was over .02 you weren't allowed to take the test and now have to drive to the testing center another day to do it. Let's just say that I personally saw at least 15 kids, and my group only had 30 get reje'd for the test and had to do a retake. They were pretty pissed, but it was just stupid of the school to have the drug test the day after St. Patrick's day, but it was also a ploy of the Reefer Addicts to buy a week or so on their test.

sYsTeM87, i never really get hungover when i drink just beer because when I drink that much beer, I generally end up puking that night I really have learned that if I seriously go over the edge which I consider 6-10 liquor drinks (6 if i haven't partied in a while, 8-10 if i have) or 7-10 beers to just make myself puke before I goto bed. Not only does it drastically reduce the hangover but it's also a great way to lose weight before a big show ..... But seriously, purging after a hard night of boozing is essential.

BAHAA! I'm not hungover because I woke up at me lake house, it's 85 degrees and sunny, with few boats on the lake... I maybe should/could be hungover, but the magical powers of such a circumstance make that not happen

Not hung over at all today, an early start on drinking leads to an early night. Started around 530 and got messed up enough to be back by 1030. Made some great salsa macaroni and drank a lot of water. Spent some time with the chica, and then cashed out, and was up and ready for breakfast at 10. It was a good st patty's.

ilubronix, nice technique haha, however I find that I dont get hung over from beer, only vodka. If i drink a lot of vodka I wake up the next morning and just breathe it out of my system for hours. Beer doesnt seem to have that effect on me. However with large amounts of beer consumption comes occasional night wonderings and pissing in strange places. I never remember these but its happened a couple times according to friends.

I'm not terribly hung over, but after 5 beers on the boat last night and then two 20 ouncers at the bar afterwards, 6 am came awful damn early this morning.

Nauty, ugh, I didn't think I was that bad off last night but I woke up in the middle of the night and my stomach was churning. Farted about 50 times and then couldn't go back to sleep. Today has been rough with about 4 hours of sleep.

I felt fine for the first half of the day, but now DHS is setting in (Delayed Hangover Syndrome). It is about nap-thirty......

You are welcome for the pulls, though we may have to wait for the water to warm up a bit before hitting it again. That 55 degree water was refreshing to say the least.

I hate to sound like the old man yelling from his lawn but its get much worse 30+. Enjoy the short recov time while you can. Solid hangovers take days to get over since 35.

I definitely don't drink as much in a night as I used to.

But, I will say there have been many times I overdo it and tough it out. It's not as bad as a lot of people try to make it out to be. Quit being such girls about it

I had a bad one a couple years ago. One of our monthly poker games on a Friday night and I drank a bunch of beer and shots...had to walk home. We had promised to take a friend to the lake at 9 am the next day. I kept the promise and off to the lake we headed, after drinking and playing poker until 3 am. I felt like crap for most of the morning, but I got through it.

Faust, where do you work that you can drink 2 beers before work?

And if you drink enough, the alcohol definitely comes out of your pours the next day. No matter how many times you shower you smell like alcohol. I know I smell it on myself after some nights of drinking.

I didn't drink enough last night to smell like it, but I had nasty hangover taste in my mouth all day.

An engineering consulting firm... all the bars opened at 6 am for St Patty's, had to stop in. I don't do that on a regular basis.

Faust, wow, must be a cool consulting firm. One of the Senior Managers here is Mormon so everyone in the department treads lightly around alcohol involved with anything work.
