I have a Boost Box for a Malibu boat...what would you do for a FREE one? Jump thru a hoop? Stand on your head? Video tape an install? Or just beg for one? I can tell you that begging will not work...... _________________ Wakeskating

I have a 2009 Malibu VLX I could put it onto in about 3 weeks... happy to do a write up and test. The system will feature Wet sounds Double ups and about 1000 watts of amplifiers ontop of the standard system.
I can pick up postage if that helps? _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

Your 09 should have the auto volume feature. If not your dealer should be able to update your boat and you should have that feature.. I was going to install it on our 09 VLX and my dealer told me the auto volume feature was available. I have not tested it out yet so I am not sure how it works and if I like the factory version. _________________ Wakeskating

No we sold our first 09 after we put 8 hours on it. We had a buyer that wanted our exact boat and he wanted it RIGHT NOW! So we sold him ours and ordered another one for Wb.com. _________________ Wakeskating

flixmaster, We're taking our 08 in to the dealer in a week or so to get a WS-420eq installed and add a Syn2 amp for the tower speakers..
What does the boost box do?
If it does something the eq doesn't do then I'd attempt tantrums for an entire day in March when we get the boat back and do a write-up on how it performs. _________________ Wake Forest University |

oh, just read about it here.. http://www.wakeboarder.com/display.phtml?a=1672
well if it wouldn't be interfering with the eq I could ask the dealer if they wouldn't mind installing this as well.
And like I said, I'll attempt tantrums and do nothing else for a whole day, and provide a write-up on the boost box _________________ Wake Forest University |

| I'd video tape the install and put it to use with all the times we pick up people from some of the crazy things we do. |

Ohhhh the things that one would do for something which is free to them. Many people would do things out of the ordinary and somewhat extreme such as light themselves on fire, jump in a hole in a frozen lake in the nude and perhaps even get a tattoo with your name on their behind. One, however, must ask themselves whether or not they would be willing to mutilate themselves in order to receive something free of cost to them. I, however, do not plan on mutilating myself or completely diminishing my decency by acting like a complete buffoon -- I plan on utilizing the boost box for my malibu and in my malibu only. I would never want to install such a precious item, even if I were to pay for it, on a nautique or a mastercraft. I plan on using the boost box to further improve the wonderful sound system that I currently have updated on my malibu. I have spent more than one thousand dollars on electronic equipment and it seems as though a boost box was never budgeted for, hmphh. I vow to install the boost box and make a write up of how and why it improved my malibu's potential of being the best boat that it can be, and i vow to use the boost box every time out on the water even if I were to get another music violation. More so, however, I vow to aid the previous and extremely generous owner in any one thing that he/she may need -- be it advice, contacts, deals or a pull if he/she is ever in my vicinity. And that is why, I think that I would be a great candidate to receive this free boost box for my malibu tow boat. Thank you. _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |

I like where this is going....
I would require a writeup... I would require some install footage or pictures. Video would even be better..

Yes, a write up is a must, I agree. Pictures are a breeze, but a video of the install would be prime. You would be able to experience - first hand - the blood, sweat and tears along with the occasional bleeped out cuss word that the install will entail. I consider myself quite diligent and more so avid when it comes to audio install. I have installed various systems including the one currently in my boat, my truck, girlfriends car and many others. So, with that said you know that I will not be paying anyone (except my brother to go on a beer run perhaps) to do the install and I will be successful be doing it myself along with any picture or writeup that you wish. Thank you and I hope that I make a solid candidate for the boost box and more so, I hope my malibu makes a great candidate for the boost box as it is aching to come out of storage and get pampered once more. _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |

Brit Rider, it is available for a various array of head units. My boat is equipped with a Sony head unit and wired remote. The year of the malibu is irrelevant, what is relevant is the year of the head unit and whether it has a remote input or not.
Specifics are
#
Available for:
# Kenwood Marine Stereos Compatible with Kenwood Marine Stereos (original factory equipment on Supra and Moomba towboats).
# Clarion Marine Stereos (original factory equipment on Mastercraft, Searay, Tige, and MB towboats).
# Sony Marine Stereos.
# JBL Marine Stereos. Boost Box transmitter cable plugs directly into the Black Box on new Malibu Boats.
# Alpine Marine Stereos. Boost Box transmitter cable plugs into the steering wheel remote jack on all Alpine marine stereos and most Alpine car stereos. _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body! |

From what I understand it is for the headunits that come in Malibu boats. You can get them for other stereo headunits I just happen to have one for a Malibu boat which is the JBL marine stereo. _________________ Wakeskating

spicychalupa69, So... exactly what I said then.. only works with specific head units
Also, surely the year makes all the difference, as Malibu stereos have change every couple years, be that the Clarion units (XMD1-thru to CMD 5, or the new black box style hidden HU's they run now... or an aftermarket system; which this wouldn't fit unless the owner had installed 1 of the handful of units the box works with).
These boxes use the remote inputs, thus on Clarion it uses the CE net, which isn't present on other units... _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |
