I haven't ever used it, but I know that those are nice vests. I'm sure there's people on here that have used it though, O'Neill makes quality gear,

No Problem.

You will probably definitely be in an XS or a S, I don't know the specifics of how O'Neill's sizes work. Just like shoe companies, some fit differently. If there's any way you could try one on that would be ideal. Just make sure it's snug. I found a sizing chart on buywake.com. It was from the same page as the Law vest, so I'm assuming it's accurate for O'Neill gear or everything is standard. It measures your chest size, so grab a piece of string and measure up!

http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/g9kH2 (click view size chart, won't let me copy+paste the url for some reason)

I measured out with a 31inch chest. The chart said 33-35.

Think I could go ahead and get it and tighten it? Or is that a too big difference?

MasonH, it also depends on how quickly you are going to grow. If you don't want to buy another vest for the next few years, you could pull off cinching it down and then count on growing into it. Seeing as your 15, you'll probably begin to grow pretty rapidly, so it may be smart to buy big. Also, I'm not sure how much of a difference those 2 inches will make. But in my experience, going a size up isn't too bad of an adjustment.

But still, as I said before, if you have the opportunity to try it on, that's the best bet. You'll be able to tell whether it is definitely too big, or if you can deal with the size until you grow into it. I'm sure they have vests you could check out at the Sun & Ski in Tulsa (you're from Eufaula OK right?) they have a location here:

Tulsa
6808 Memorial Drive
Tulsa, OK 74133
(918) 254-0673

Oh, by the way, I thought I recognized the name Eufaula (as long as you live in the one in OK), my mom grew up in Tahlequah, and my grandparents still live there. I visit Tahlequah usually at least once a year, and have ridden on Lake Tenkiller a few times. Thought that was cool.

I'm going to check out that place. There is one in OKC I think.

My lake house is in Eufaula.

I live in a small town 15min south of Norman. So I might go up there this weekend and see if they have that certain vest and size. Again, thanks for all the help!

And I'm pretty sure I'll grow a bit this summer. As I usually do. Just that 2inch difference is really got me wondering if it will be too tight, even with tightening it a lot.

MasonH, yes there is one in OKC. I'd go there and try on their different sizes. I just bought a Law...it fits nice and seems very flexible. I haven't used it yet, though. They should have a Law or similar vest at S&S. S&S is also a good place to demo boards from...they have a pretty cool program and a fair selection.

savage3221, small world, huh? I live in Owasso, just north of Tulsa. We've gone to Tenkiller a few times...really pretty and clean lake. We've also been to Eufaula...huge lake! Our normal lake, though, is Skiatook.

savage3221, anytime. We go out every weekend in the summer and we just went from an I/O into an inboard (89 Supra Sunsport). As long as you check with me a little ahead of time, we should be able to give you a pull.

No, I'm not a Sooner. I'm a Trojan Very Happy
