I have just purchased a 2004 Centurion Lightning and the ballast pump is busted. Not knowing much about ballast systems, what type of pump should I buy (is there a stock pump) and how hard are they to replace?

first stop in trouble shooting this would be a call to your dealer for price on the pump.
once they give you a ridiculous price and say you can't do it yourself ask for the part number.
Then post the part number here and someone might be able to help you locate a similar pump
Also someone might know of an alternative for your type of pump such as just switching out an impeller.
Really I don't think my post got you anywhere, but you should call your dealership

are you sure the pump is broken - is it not getting power, or is it getting power and not working?

Have you checked the wiring? also - not sure where the pump is located but if you follow the lines from the bags you should be able to find the pump pretty quickly - take a picture of it and post it here - we can probably tell what it is just by looking at it

If there is just one pump they blew fuses all the time and got stuck and would not switch directions

Where are the fuses located? Do they centrally locate them like a car or is it on the pump itself?
