Now that they changed the name to Shaun Murrays game, I think I might be too embarrassed to buy it. Embarassed

Why the hell did they change it, now it sounds all gay extreme and stuff.

Because of why everybody else uses the "XTREME" phrase, because idiots think it's cool and they fall for that kind of marketing.

I hope you guys are joking because that name sounds extremely stupid. The Activision webpage still shows it as 'Shaun Murrays Pro Wakeboarder', is it just not updated with this new cheese-oriented name? I know a gay name won't affect gameplay, but it will affect shelf appeal and sales. It seems like this new name will separate it from the other games that have been so successful, like THPS, Kelly Slater, Dave Mirra, Shaun Palmer, etc.. Oh well, on to cheesedom we go.

And why doesn't it list Gamecube as one of the consoles? I thought it was going to be available on all three major systems?

Wait a minute,,,,, Are they trying to say that I don't have to wear a leash with my wakeboard? Isn't that totally irrisponsible? I'm a courteous wakeboarder & I prevent accidents from run-away wakeboards by using a wakeboard leash.

I read an artical about this topic. They said it had something to do with "marketing". I think that the name change was a wrong thing to do. Just look at it this way. Actovision is known for putting out the THPS seriers,if they left the name SMPW they would have gotten the THPS hard core people to buy SMPW as well just becuase of the name even if they have never heard of wakeboarding. I think they are going to loose sales due to the name change.

yeahat really blows if they are really changing the name..If the game is great im still buying it..Maybe they are changing the name for the non wakeboarders of the world who wouldnt know shaun from Leslie so they are making more of and overall game for the masses to recognize.I like the original name lets email these people and tell them or ask them why ???? Mad
