Anyone know what boat they are riding in this video? Specifically at 0:30. The wake looks absolutely amazing..

yeah i'm not too great at picking out boats yet especially of that caliber. Don't think i'd ever be able to afford an x-star Anyone else second the x-star theory? _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

882001, there's nautiques all through that video..
but at :43 it is an x-star
at :58 its a nautique
and then at 1:01 I think thats rathy in the driver seat of a Centurion enzo
Wakeboarder3780, it's those three boats, you can see them all at the end. And the wakes look amazing not just because they're top of the line boats but likely running atleast 3K lbs in ballast _________________ Wake Forest University |

I know it doesnt show the boat for the 0:30 clip I wouldn't imagine they would put like boats near each other would they? They probably put whatever clips wherever they want huh? Well I guess it doesn't matter, I'll have to ride a lot of boats later on before I step up. At that point it wont matter which wake *looked* the best, it will be what wake *feels* the best. Until then I'll have to be happy with my sunsetter
So for the record it was a
1) X-star
2) Nautique (something or other, guessing a 230?)
3) Centurion Enzo
Hey this might take this thread on a completely different path, but.. how do you guys learn about the newer boats? All I ever find online is the manufacturers garbage that they put on the site which is usually just this nicely worded masterpiece about how lovely each of their boats are.
How do you figure out which boats are the best for wakeboarding in each line, what separates the ones that are good for wakeboarding, and which is supposedly the "best" of each brand. You can't even get MSRP prices on most of these sites! _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

I learn about malibu's on www.themalibucrew.com
but back when we were boat hunting last year i spent a lot of time here http://www.wakeboardingmag.com/virtual_boats.jsp
Almost all the boats have the base price listed.
But the best way to learn about a boat is check it out at a boat show and jump on any and every chance you get to drive/ride/wakeboard with one.
There really is no best boat for wakeboarding by any brand. There are ones that are popular though however but thats due to a majority of people sharing preferences, which is what a boat should satisfy... what you want in a boat. The best boat is that one that you like the best. _________________ Wake Forest University |

blindside thats a pretty helpful site, but unfortunately the 3 boats i looked up - x-star, nautique 230, and the wakesetter vlx had prices listed. I second your thought to make sure I ride and drive a fair amount of boats before purchasing but it will be a good 7 years or so before we'll ever be able to afford one, so unfortunately, I can pretty much only research now. Sadly I live in the middle of WI and there aren't a ton of boat stores in my area.
If only I knew a few people with wakesetters, x-stars, or any other top of the line wakeboarding boat. Then I could just demo them for free Anyone live out on lake dubay in WI? _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Hyperlite is using an Xstar as a demo and so does Rusty..first boat was probably one of those two boats.
JD and Murray are sponsored by nautique and those guys have 230s, I think, with 5-6K worth of ballast.
Looks like a Centurion snuck in at the end
Not a bad little clip |
