Okie Boarder Ladies Man

As many of you have probably seen from other threads, I'm getting a 1989 Supra Sunsport. I've attached a couple pictures. My question now is how to weight it. Right now, my funds are limited. I have a couple small bags and a pump (Straight Line / Launch Pad). I'd like to add some more weight that I can just tuck away in front and back for now, until I can go all out building in an automatic system. I want to keep my cost at $200 or less. I found the twin 540 bag set up from Launch Pad for $179.99 and I can see where that might work for now, and provide some interesting options later. They are 20" round by 50" long. I already have the 250 pound captains chair and the 85 pound block I can throw in the mix, too.
Would putting a 540 in the bow and a 540 in the ski locker or under the seat do the trick to enlarge the wake a decent amount for now?
I also have four 60 pound sand bags I use for winter in our truck that we might be able to place around in some hiding spots. That would be about 240 pounds and it wouldn't bother me to tow the extra weight and carry it all the time with respect to overall weight in the boat.
Also, I notice the boat has a trim plate/tab. It looks manually adjustable. Will this be something I need to mess with to affect wake shape or size?

I have an 89 Malibu Sunsetter. I watched a few sites and ended up finding a 725 lb straightline bag with cover for around 80 bucks and bought two of them along with a pump. It gets me by for now, but I didn't have much time last summer to play with where i put the weight. I think you'll find that where you place the weight may play as much of a role as where you put it.
I believe Hauge, and a couple other users here know an exhaustive amount about supras. I almost bought one last summer but ended up going with the 'bu. Hope this helps, if anything I'm sure if you search for supra posts, you'll find some great info about them. Honestly there is some great info from users here.
As far as my boat goes, I've had the two 725 blocks filled up and i couldn't imagine wanting a bigger wake, it hurt my knees when i came down i was so high up anyway so it's plenty big for me. My biggest problem is I need to get some weight in the nose so I don't have the wake malform like i did last year.

Am I allowed to comment now that you are actually asking for advice on weighting? We have several threads on the topic on WW. If you select the right bags now, it is easy to upgrade your system later. Just add the hose and the right pump.
I personally prefer FlyHigh over LaunchPad. Better fittings and bags. I would personally recommend the two v-drive sacs or side sacs. For my boat, the locker sac was the best for the ski locker and another under the rear seat. Then I put a set of v-drive sacs up front.
1k lbs will certainly help but the SunSports really need about 1500 to really kick it. If you want to surf, that should be plenty to get you going. They can take the weight easy but once you get above 1k you will probably want a new propellor.
Just my personal opinion. I was not happy enough with the wake at 1k. It took me most of the first year to get it better and it's not all done quite yet.
As for the wakeplate if you put it down just a tiny bit (like 1/2" - 1") it makes the wakes steeper and higher. Good thing. Any more and they just get flat. Really flat, really fast. I am lucky in the my 87 SS has a hydrolic wakeplate.
