The first pic looks like you need to straiten up and get the handle more towards your leading hip.

Make sure you stand up when you hit the wake. It looks like you could use a little longer rope too.

I looked exactly like you did before a tower and a spectra line (rope). It DOES make a difference.

Try to post some videos too. They are much better for evaluating form. I posted a lot of videos of me last year and a bunch of guys on here were very helpful teaching me adjustments I needed to make.

yeah like Okie Boarder said, try to post videos, pictures are hard to tell what's going on from... on the first one, it looks as though you might be sucking up some of the pop with your knees, so like everyone else said, at the top of the wake stand tall and lift your chest. the second pic is all sorts of messed up though Laughing definitely need a video to decipher it

Good. Every once in a while when I kneel all the way down, it aches when I stand up. It ended up being a bone contusion...can't remember if I had posted that or not. I just had to take it easy for about 4 weeks back in the summer and I was out boarding again.

I've riden some pretty crappy wakes with some pretty crappy lines, even ski line. I am a strong advocate of form over gear. I could easily wake to wake on a pretty crappy inboard wake and a pretty crappy line too.

As is always the golden rule, build line tension as much as possible. Don't sharply bee-line straight for the wake. Make a progressive cut towards the wake making sure you edge all the way through and in addition to standing tall, one thing someone told me once that really helped was "try to push your feet through the floor" this really helped me learn to explode off the wake. Standing tall is one thing, when you picture trying to push your feet through the floor, you REALLY stand tall.

Anyways, think parabolic, not linear Wink

Try ducking your stance out a little more. It looks like your feet are straight and you are uncomfortable. It helped me this past summer.

I think you defo need to be a bit more upright. Also you're looking down, try to look up where you're going instead of worrying about your feet - it helps alot.

Hey flo_rida, looks like you've got the good fortune of living in the land of wakeboarding, Florida. It would be well worth your time and money to come out to Clermont for even just one day and take some lessons from us at The Wakeboard Camp. I'm a coach there, and the stuff you'll learn in one day will help you more than a year of reading stuff on how to ride. Not to rip on forums, but one on one instruction can't be topped, and when you don't have to fly cross country to do it...easy choice. Wink

I imagine you may have questions about us. PM me or reply in here if you do. Happy to answer them.
