been getting serious about picking up a trampoline for winter training, and got to thinking, is a raley on a tramp possible? ie without the forward pull of the boat? (ive never done one on the water) or can you just generate enough force/jump to just pendilum around the pivot point of where you have the rope tied to?

yeah you can do raleys on the tramp but it has no similarity to the boat unlike other tricks, air awareness wise

Don't mean to change the subject, but when you're practicing on a trampoline do you use a rope and handle (new to wakeboarding)?

STANG KILLA SS, the easiest way to learn a Raley is try one using a wakeskate...the falls don't hurt when your not strapped in. Once you get the feeling of stretching out and then pulling the handle back to your waist and bringing your feet back under you....you got it.

I tried a few times on a skate...got to where I was fully extending and still bring my feet under me...then strapped on a board and landed it the first time.

oh..one thing...go 100% or don't go at all. Trust me.

Hey, I've done it a few times, and most of the times i fail, but its easy to get the railey position, though its hard to land in time, here a video of my failure:P

Owyeah, remember that, if you do a railey, you need to jump like you want to do a railey, if you jump with a faceplant in your head then you will do a faceplant!

STANG KILLA SS, the easiest way to learn a raley is learn it like a man like the rest of us did, no tramp, no wakeskate. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO DO is keep your eyes focused on the tower. Every other part of a raley is natural reflex.

Even with the natural reflex, some excercise is good.
