|
|
| Here's the deal, I need a new board and I am in love with the LF limited edition watson rasta board but it is a 138. The largest board i have had was a 135. I am a pretty small dude weighing in at 150 and 5'7 ft tall. The LF website says its suits people weighing 140-240 or something like that. Is this board to big for me? |

| technically no board is going to be too big for you. It's really all about preference. Some people like the speed of a smaller board. I'm 5'11" about 170ish and ride a 138 |

| go demo one at a shop or just find someone out on the water near you that has a larger board. Preferrably the same style of board you're lookin at buyin. Cause if you ride one that's a different style but the right size it might give you the wrong opinion based on the board's features and not just the size. |

| well you can't go on much of the stuff they say on the sites. cause if you did every single board out there has the most pop with the softest landings |

| they say that to lure in the people who usually ride 140-141 make em think that a 138 isn't too small |

A larger board will give you more pop, softer landings, and a little more speed due to the enlarged surface area and not riding as deep in the water. However, it will add extra bulk and swing weight while doing tricks in the air such as inverts and spins. That is the book answer. But as others have said, it all comes down to personal preference how you like your board to ride _________________ Its business, Its business time! |

| all in all the difference between a 135 and a 138 is not very much at all, a little more than an inch, i think you'll be fine. i've ridden a 140, a 141, and a 138 and they were all very similar. what's your skill level? beginner? intermediate? advanced? |

At 155, I was riding the 142 Watson in 2006.
I am currently riding the 143 Chad Sharp. If you are comfortable moving a big board--you can get away with murder on the landings (what really counts).
I'm 5-9 about 155-160. _________________ "Captain of Her Heart"
