Fiberglass work for speaker enclosure

I currently use this as a free air application with a Wetsounds XS-10FA.


Wetsounds suggest .7 cu ft for sealed. There should be ample space to meet that requirement, so I'm planning to glass in the areas inside the gunwales to make this happen.

Does anyone have experience with products you've had luck with. Or any other helpful hints?

Kind of cheesy but I'd probably just shoot expanding foam in there, its what fills all the empty space in your boat right now so not a terribly option, and would make things easier.

Then just cut into the cured foam to make your enclosure, and use kitty hair (shredded glass in resin) to create the solid enclosure.

Et Voila, un petit enclosure in under an hours labour.
