| My old camera was a Canon EOS Rebel G, SLR. Used a Quantaray 70-300 telephoto lens. New camera will be an EOS Rebel XS Digital SLR. Can I us the old lens or do I need to buy a new lens specific for a Digital? |

Second.
It should work as long as it has the EF mount. (Which it does if it mounted on your rebel.) I would think the AF would work fine too, but honestly I'd go for a better piece of glass. _________________ wakeboards

Damon is right, although the ability to get a Quantaray lens rechipped will be nearly impossible. It will probably work but only wide open. Any thing else or using auto matic will most likely throw an error. Hey you may get lucky, but I doubt it.
I had the same lens and that is what my research gave me. Thats not to say I didn't get some good pics with it. Its far from the sharpest lens but if you can work around the issues it will work. I did however save my pennies and then ebay that lens to the tune of $45 and got some decent glass as soon as I could. _________________
