hey everyone. im getting a 138 recoil w/ the ltd. edition shane closed toe boots and i am stoked. can anyone help me with what i should expect the board to ride like. i have never used a closed toe boot but everyone is starting to so im jumping on the band wagon. like im coming from a hyperlite board w/ out a 3 stage rocker and an open toe parks boot. what should expect the ride to be like?
If you're coming from a continuous rocker, then you're going to love the recoil. It has pop for days, and the shane bindings will prob compliment the board pretty well, so I'm going to say that you're going to love it, money back Krent guarantee!
didnt get slingshot bindings bc they are mad stiff i heard. i also gotta mad discount at grides.com. u ride a sling? _________________ www.WakeNation.com www.GRides.com
getting back to your original post, you should be VERY impressed with the recoil, it has the softest landing of any board out there especially compared to a hyperlite. just wondering, what's your skill level?

i dunno really. like i can do w2w 360's huge grabs a raley and a tantrum oon a good day. my last board had like no pop at all but i demoed an old LF fish board a whiile a ago w the 3 stage on it and loved it! how will this compare ya think? _________________ www.WakeNation.com www.GRides.com
RIDE.NORRIS.LAKE, should have pop similar to the fish. You can also ride it finless and it becomes out of control. I ride mine finless and I think it's the most fun ever... you can break into butterslides whenever you want
ya but w no fins how does it track? and can ya still take that progressive edge w a good hold...and im hella jealous if ur really at mc. d's right now _________________ www.WakeNation.com www.GRides.com
Krent rides the recoil without fins all the time (stupid) and i do at the cable park
at the cable park its fine but in my opinion you definitely need fins on it, also i seriously doubt you'd be able to pull off a raley without fins, i'd be impressed
RIDE.NORRIS.LAKE, that's me at Mcy d's... and yeah without fins it still tracks really well as long as you have your edging down. People who have never wakeboarded before have tried to ride it without fins and it's hilarious watching them just slide out
Krent is dumb, there is zero "tracking" on a slingshot board without fins. if you know how to edge properly then it can be ridden but there's no tracking goin on
ya i fiigured like its flat on the bottom so it would be like a trick ski and i hate ridin those. ya a raley would be almost impossible with no tracking. but taking the fins off just to free ride and butters i bet is mad fun. _________________ www.WakeNation.com www.GRides.com

exactly. here's a video of Krent and i using the recoil without fins:
no butters in the vid. This is behind my crappy sunsetter with ballast and extended pylon, so the wake is teeny. not that that has anything to do with butter
