Hi sorry no vid, passengers couldnt be bothered to take the camera out.... I will try to explain as best as i can. Firstly i cut out, let the boat pull me in and i do a nice progressive edge. At the trough of the wake i let go of my back hand and once i pop I immediately start the flip (my wake is real small with hardly any air time). I flip the board over as fast as i can and my knees usually end up hitting the water first? Should i try and crouch a lot? Advice? Today was my first try, i tried about 5 times every time under rotating....... |

| wrong from the start man... you dont want a nice progressive edge... you wanna start hard at the start and then let off so your speed carries you to the wake. you want to almost do half a surf carve away from the wake so that the nose of the board is pointing at the boat as you let go with your back hand and look back. |

| ok thanks but wont i lose pop and therefore time to spin the trick if i slow down?I might not even make it across the wake? So by releasing my back hand most likely im not completely squared up when i leave the wake? |

...that's why wakeboardert_rav told you to have a hard cut! You need to build up as much speed as possible because you will loose some of it by approaching the wake.
It also might be a good idea not to "immediately start the flip " but to wait until you can feel the pop. Since your wake is not that big, you need to get upwards BEFORE you start spinning.

| If you leave the wake right, you will feel it start the flip,,,thats why they call it a trip flip..the wake flips you when you cut in right....just wait.. |

You dont need a very hard edge to do a tantrum, it is one of the easiest inverts to learn and a progressive edge will work fine and carry you wake to wake. Start about 15 ft out from the wake, take a progressive edge into the wake edging about medium medium/hard if your having trouble clearing the wakes. When you get to the trough of the first wake straighten up your body and lean over your toes pointing the nose of your board at the boat. about at the bottom of the wake get ready to extend youself, once you are on the wake about hlfway up extend yourself and throw your chest up and backwards, once you leave the water follow by pulling up your board. Bring it around then stick it. practice the backflip motion on the trampoline because it is very similar on the water. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |
