Ok,
here is my question..
I am currently riding 07 Vapor bindings and a 07 Pure 140 board. I just picked up a pair of 08 Zeus bindings (thanks BBB) and was looking at a 08 Faction 144 for $150 brand new...
My questions for you all are are there any big advantages to the Faction 144 over the Pure 140 and is it going to be noticeable as I progress? Also, a 144 seems like a big board...I know 4 more cm...but still...I am about 6ft and weigh 195-200...
Suggestions??

get that 144. I'm only about 170 (well closer to 160 after a nice round of food poisoning) but i ride 140-142 cm boards. you'll really like the smoother pop and faster landings of the bigger board

You have a bit of time, if budgeting is a concern then go with the 141 and spend the saved cash on some gas/cable time. I am 6' 195 lbs and I ride an obrien vision 141 and I think it is a great length for me, but it is all preference. Small enough to whip it around, but big enough so my landings arent ridiculous.

What is your skill level? The Absolute can be a pretty unforgiving board (I rode it for 4 years). I rode the Faction all last year and was a huge fan, not as poppy as the 'lute but much nicer landings and much more predictable.

I'm doing wake to wake's , grabs, and switch riding. Havent got switch wake to wakes yet...Plan to keep progressing hard though and balance board and trampoline this off season...Granted im intermediate...barely im sure... but I hope to keep taking right to it...I couldnt pass up the price for the absolute...

Im in the same boat as far as trick level and am riding the Absolute. I still have the fins in as I havent perfected my edge yet, but can w2w hs and ts, and started some ts 180's. I think the 'lute is a good board for me and hope you enjoy it as well. After I get my edging down better, the fins will come off.

Yeah, I have been riding finless on my pure, so I figure I will give it a go without them and see how it goes...Ive been riding finless for about a half a season or more and like it alot better...put the Zeus bindings on and it looked sweet...
