For those who've installed a tower on a Glastron boat

Did you have to build up the fiberglass underneath or was it thick enough to install a tower. I'm going to be installing a monster tower soon and would like to know..they recommend at least 3/8 of fiberglass.

Ive never reinforced the deck with anything except the appropriate hardware..

Okay, talked to him, they put a 2x4 under the fiberglass and made it like 6" long so it could spread out the pressure. So the tower bolts go through the fiberglass and into the 2x4.
