| A three stage has a flat spot in the middle a continuous has rocker with no flat spot in the middle. A three stage will pop more but be slower. A continuous will be faster and go more sideways than up. |

| Hybrid rockers are becoming very popular recently, which are a combination of the two. You can look at it as a three stage with some curve in the flat spot, or a continuous with extra curve at the tip and tail. The best of both worlds, or so every manufacturer's website claims. |
