I really think that's the only information available right now... I've heard rumors of them having unique bows similar to a pickle fork design though

picklefork is hardly unique anymore, with MC, tige, and MB's bastardization of it

| From what I hear they won't be using any current or old 'Bu hulls. I did hear a rumor that they had bought the SN2001 hull? No idea if there is any truth behind that. But a V-drive open bow 2001 with 1500+of built in ballast with a tower and perfect pass would very interesting.

ridininmd, that would be SICK!
Very good idea. I thought someone should have done this years ago. 20-30k (even 35K) wakeboats would sell like hotcakes.

this is great. i could give a rats ass about bling, underwater lights, 4k stereos, and LED lit gizmos.
gimme a killer hull, a strong motor and some seats.
ridenmd, 1500lbs in a SN2001 would produce a stupid huge wake! rampy and hard to boot i hope your right.....
i didnt realize correct craft was making the ski nautique again, until i got an 09 catalog. maybe theyve always have. no clue if its the same SN2001 hull or not though...

| rumor is that its gonna be an aluminum hull....like a bass tracker. didnt u notice it was on a fishing website? they are enlarging the bass tracker hull, making it open bow with a vdrive. i'm wondering if they are gonna paint it or not. atleast u wont have to worry about blistering.

i just dont see it happening, it will be more costly to produce, and there already setup for and have experience making FG hulls. not to mention the paint scratching off easily and looking like crap.

Why would they ever stop??? And where have you been that you've never seen that they still and probably always will make it? They make the best ski boats in the industry.

thats a really intresting hump at the back of the boat at the bottom of the hull in pics 2 and 3. intrested in hearing how it came about and what it does.

I would imagine it does much the same as the step down at the back of the 2001 hull. Look closely at most of the newer boats, they all have the "step" on the bottom of the boat at the back of the hull. I'm sure the hump on the stern is nothing more than a continuation of that line on around the back. I doubt it affects the wake at all since its on the stern, but I'm sure the step that follows around to both sides of the boat is there to shape the wake a certain way. I think that the more pronounced that step is, the steeper the wake tends to be, but I could be wrong.

| I just got an email update. Looks like they have a functional prototype. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Juq0RUfNkxU Looks pretty good. Im not a big fan of the tower or windshield, and i think their kick panels go against the whole no gimmicks/price point idea. I think they should make some normal panels an option (for cheaper). The convertible walk through seat is a great idea. According to the email, it will have 900 lbs ballast stock (3 hard tanks: 2 back, 1 center) with a package available to add 1275 more (total of 2175lbs) with fly high sacks that are plumbed in and able to be filled/emptied through the dash. Nice! 2200 lbs and wedge should put up some sick wakes. 335hp, 48 gal tank, and weighs 3600 lbs. 22 ft long and 100 inch beam. Sounds like a really promising boat...they list the MSRP in the email as 40k with the as shown boat as 44 and change. Not bad, looks pretty quality, however I still think the true winning boat would be 30k range. If they took the old VLX hull or bought the SN2001 hull or something it seems like they could get it done. Give me a titan tower, solid upholstery, no gimmicky panels/stainless etc. and I think it could be done on one of those hulls. That would be golden.

The seating looks very similar to my 08 Moomba XLV (same playpen bow and fold up seat and moveable rear seat). At 40k that looks like a sweet boat though.

I agree.. I would like to see one around 30-35K.
If the used the SN2001 hull, wouldn't that be about an 18' boat though? Possibly difficult in a V-drive to make it have any room at all?
I would like to see a smaller, 18-19' boat with about 2000lb ballast system, perfect pass, 250hp boat that would make a good wake. Its nice to be able to take 12 people with you, but the most I have ever had out with me riding is 4, and some on-lookers. THe on-lookers could come out in someone elses I/O.
I say this because I have had no issues riding behind a 220hp I/O other than the hull is not conducive to holding a steady speed under 18mph with me yanking on it. (I'm 225lbs though).

kyle f, that brings up a good question.. but I think the A22 is one of several boats that Axis may be producing, with an A19 possibly a 19 foot boat in the works or something along those lines.

We have received a press release on this boat. I think the content people will get it online as soon as they can.
I will have access to one of these boats in Jan for the Austin Boat show. I can get some detailed pictures of one if you guys are interested.

Well, I really thought I would buy one of these, but for $40k, I could get a 2 year old Supra Launch 24SSV with all the goodies.

like to have an affordable wake boat on the market that produces a massive wake and can fit a couple people would be like perfect. and for it to cost only like 30 new would be sick too. this help the expansion of the sport and really get people to progress because they would now be able to afford it!
