I just snagged a pair of State's off ebay for 45 bucks(w/shipping). I think they are '08's, at least they look slightly different then the pics I could find of 07's. These seem like a decent binding, I tried them on and they fit me very well. I just have a few questions. Why are the laces so long? What do you do with the laces when you ride? Tuck em into the boot? They didn't come with any mounting hardware, so is it safe to assume that I will need to get some HL Claws? I have an 07 HL Premier I'm assuming this board/binding combo will work together. Thanks _________________

I'm pretty sure the last year they made the state was 07. I have a pair of those ones. The long laces have a clip on the end to clip on to the string on the boat. I've got the claws on mine and they do come a little loose after a while so keep an eye on those. Other than that once you break them in they are great. |

Wakeboarding=Life, You could be right, I can't find anything about an 08 State, the only pics I could find of these exact bindings didn't have a year stated. The 07's I saw pics of have an eyelet through the boot for the bottom strings, mine a metal triangle and hoop more to the inside of the bindings. Might just be a late year model, or just cause they are xl's. Doesn't really matter to me, got a good deal on em and I'm sure they will be 100% improvement over the crappy chaser's I finished the season out on. Plus these go very well with my b/w Premier
Thanks for the heads up on the claws, which style do you have? The ones with the phillips screw head, or the ones with the thumb screws? _________________

| I've got the thumb screw ones (could be the reason for the problem) but they are great for changing the set up quickly if you need to. As for the metal triangle I have no idea mine are standards so the size could be it. |
