I got hit by a car in 2000, and got a compound fracture to my left shin. They had to put a rod from knee to ankle, which means they took my knee apart and drilled all the way down through my shin bone. This creates some issues with that knee, especially since I ride goofy foot and most of the abuse goes to the left knee. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good waterproof knee brace? I tried google and got a bunch of crap I don't feel like sifting through.

Lots of pros (and quite a few amateurs) ride with knee braces.

Buywake.com has a few for sale.... http://www.buywake.com/catalog/accessories/kneeBraces

The only ones on that site that are nice are the EVS WEB carbon fiber ones and they cost a bunch-the other ones are really junk (lots of metal).

You can also look up asterisk knee braces, they come as a pair...but all of those are mostly used for motocross. I wear my asterisks snowboarding and motoing...I've thought of using them on the water-but just haven't ever tried them.

You could probably pick up some used asterisks on ebay and give em a shot. The WEB and FOX POD brace tend to be a bit LONG...the asterisks are overall shorter.

actionmama, Thanks, the asterisks look pretty sweet, but kind of bulky.
