Cool cam! Would love to shoot some video and pics on that. Can you imagine the heart in your throat feeling if you accidently dropped it in the water? _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Josh R, no doubt. These plus the continuously expanding capacity of memory cards = sweet. _________________

Um, I'm not sure I dont know if I can handle those files
In all honesty I was hoping for 16mp, with an updated focus system better sealing would be nice but not a big deal. part of me is thinking just get a low count 5D, but the new screen, new sensor, dust removal, and some other gizmos makes me want the newer tech. We'll see what the price is next spring along with user feedback.
I REALLY cannot believe canon did not update the focus system(at least on the surface, the algorithms may be different)
The mythical 3D would be perfect right about now
Oh, and I only have ONE lens that wont be destroyed by those files and my wide angle wont work with FF, so I would at least have to invest in a 35mm wide angle
so, we'll see _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

...and everyone not named Chase Jarvis will likely be shooting video that looks more like this: http://sunfishmedia.com/DSC_0095.AVI
Not to take away from this shooter, but I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of static shots due to the lack of AF. Or people will pull focus like it's going out of style. I dunno if I like how much the image brightened up a few times during that video. Kind of drastic for the little bit of extra light that was blocked/unblocked by the baby's movements. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

| I can assure you, the video quality looks very, very good out of the new 5D mk II. And yes, it will change everything. |

Mike can you comment on whether or not the 5D can auto focus while shooting movies? _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

| Scott, yes it can. However it's quite slow and wouldn't work for tracking quick moving objects. It relies on contrast detection from the video, and uses a system separate from the standard AF. Manual focus is best in video mode, from what I've seen. |

So, I'm pretty positive an MKII will be in my hands by spring
I'm probably going to get a Ziuko 18mm prime with adapter to start with. I believe they can be had for about $400 with adapter. I would love a CZ distagon 21 but haven't won the lottery yet.
Scott, the fishy is on my list, but not for my landscape lens on a FF, to much distortion me thinks _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

Uh. . . . . WOW seriously
I had already made up my mind, this just adds a nice touch
I cannot wait to add this camera to my bag. I was a little scared of the file sizes at first, but because I mainly shoot landscapes more MP are better, even if my computer cries uncle. The ability to shoot sraw at two different sizes is great. I wont always have to shoot at full resolution. To bad I cant have one for Yosemite in two days _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

Seriously WOW is right. I'd love to see that on a good 1080P set! _________________
