Webpage related help!

I'm looking for a program that I could embed into a webpage that checks to see if your computer meets the required specifiactions to use a websites services. In one of our classes we are to design a readiness survey for taking online course at our school. We thought instead of having the user simply click check boxes of their computers specifications (since most won't know), that we would have something that would automatically check their computer for them. Ex. Internet connection speed, processor, ram, etc. etc. Anyone know where I could find something like this?

There is a program called teh Belarc Advisor, which would do this for you....If you are looking for a program that is already on the PC, winmsd should do the trick for you.....Hope this helps.
