Just thought that I would say hi. I am very new to wakeboarding and started just about a month ago. I actually learned to waterski for the first time the same day, so I am new to all of it. I am having a great time, and usually get to go a few times a week.
I have gotten my first board set-up, as seen in my info. I can get up, I can carve out to both sides [heel more than toe obviously] and can cross the wake. I have gotten a few small one wake jumps, but am trying to grow a pair and go w2w, hopefully tomorrow, if the weather passes, I will be out all day and I will man up.
Today I got pulled for the first time with the wedge down, and man, what a difference. My friend told me to just man up and try w2w [i hadn't even tried to cross, let alone one wake jump the wedge wake yet] but I couldn't bring myself to carve that hard at it yet. I managed one pretty big one wake [for me at least] and landed, but then proceeded to fall just coming down the other wake... go figure.
Anywho, this is long enough, but I am excited about the sport, and this site. And thank you to all of the people on here who help out all us newbies, the things I have read have really made a difference in how quickly I am picking everything up.
