| My Cobalt 206 has a ton of washout on the wake crest all the way back. I have tried all levels of trim with no sucess. Is washout curable by other means? I also have smart tabs on the boat to help with holeshot. Could the trim tabs be causing the washout? See alot of nice pictures of wakes on here from other I/O's and would like to dial mine in if I could. Is ballast the key? |

If both sides are washing out too much, you could either be going too slow, or you might have too much weight in teh back, or most likely, trimmed up too far. Play around till you find the sweet spot. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

Tried it from 18-23 and from 55' to 80', no change. Tried trim from all the way down and up to the point of cavitation, no change.
Agree its probably the tabs. problem is they are smart tabs, hence they are automatic and not manually controlled. Made an adjustment to lessen the "lift" to no avail. Have a lighter set of shocks coming to try. Might just take the tabs off completely to see how the wake changes. |

| Took the tabs off completely tonight and the wake was amazing. Nice ramp with no washout at all. Gonna have to do some more tuning with them back on so I can still get better holeshot, but not have them affecting the wake at 20mph. |

You have problems with you rig coming out of the water? You loaded up? What motor you have? _________________ I'm a hucker |

It has 5.0 Volvo with duoprop. Boat came with the tabs to help with holeshot for slalom skiers and does eliminate all bow rise on take off and allows me to keep the boat on plane at 13-14 mph. Boat is not really loaded and we usually just have me, my wife and our 2 kids in the boats when we are on the water. Since none of us really slalom ski much, I might just leave them off. the wake was soooo much better and even thinking about adding some fat sacs front and rear to make it even better. |

| Changed the transom bracket on the tabs so I can lift them completely out of the water for wakeboarding and put them back down for other uses. Added 500 pounds of ballast to the bow and with a little trim, the wake is perfect without any washout. |

| Hey, how about a photo of your wake with that setup you just described. It sounds like I'm going to try the same thing on my Horizon 200 |

Headed out this weekend. Will grab some photos. Waiting for some more fat sacs to come in the mail. I bought 2 fly high side sacs @ 250 each to put under the bow seats and 2 v drive sacs @ 400 each to put under the engine hatch on each side. |
