riding switch is when u are riding with the opposite foot forward and a surface 180 is when u do a 180 on the surface  _________________

So that would mean they are the same thats what i thought i was confused cause some people use the terms interchanging, like to do a switch and to do a surface 180, thanks for the clearing up _________________ cant wait to get home |

tnvols22, Not the same.
Switch is when you are riding lets say goofy when you are normally regular and vice versa.
Surface 180 is when you go from regular to goofy or goofy to regular just by doing a 180 on the water without an ollie. |
