mexican roll vs. hs backroll

What's up? Just a couple questions about mexican rolls. I got my hs backrolls dialed pretty good. I've never tried a mexican roll though. Are mexican rolls pretty much the same concept? Same cut? Same progressive edge? I'm guessing the only difference would really be the direction you throw your head and back shoulder. I could be wrong though. Also, does anyone really consider these two tricks different inverts? Or more just like variations of each other??

I don't think their really different ineverts. Being able to do a mexican roll-like rotation just makes it easier to throw it to blind or do a KGB. But i think a regular backroll standing straight up and down rotating sloooowww looks way cooler than a mexican roll.

But ya its pretty much the same just throw your head down instead of up and out.
