I just broke 2 out of the 3 ropes that I had on my boat today. They were old ones that we have had for 18 years...
So now I am looking at getting one good all around rope. I wakeboarded behind my buddies spectra non stretch rope and i liked it but do you want a non stretch rope for slalom skiing? _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M.

do not get a non stretch rope for slalom skiing. If you have a non strecth rope as soon as you go around a ball in the course you will get yanked out of the water so fast you wont know what hit you. the reason you use strecth rope is so that when you are coming out a ball you can pull back on the rope giving you that le way so you dont get yanked out of the water. My buddies dad tried to slalom ski with a non stretch rope 32 mph fifteen off... first ball get yanked out of the water and did a raley pretty much on a ski till he face planted...not a good idea. _________________ I represent NOR*CAL! |

I believe ski ropes are supposed to stretch so there is probably not "one" rope that will be ideal for both ski and board. You could try a low stretch rope and see how it works. _________________ Vitam Piratea Eligo |
