| My iPod randomly stopped working the other day. It still will work in everyway except play any kind of auido. It will still "talk" with my computer and play video, it just won't make any noise out of the headphone jack or the dock connector when I plug it into my dock. Any suggestions? |

| Take it back... Apple have a "replace not repair" policy for iPods... If it can still interface with a computer, copy all of the files off it using windows explorer so that when you get the new one you can just drag them all back... |

| I dont think that is possible to drag all of your files of and then back on if you get a new ipod. Dont you have to use a program like Idump or something ? |

| For any iPod that you can see using Windows Explorer you can... You can't with my Touch though, although not sure about the classic/new nano's |

My 1st gen nano got a cracked screen and I called apple and there was a recall for a cracked screen. They next day-ed me the box here, back to them and a refurb 1st gen back to me. I copied everything off including hidden folders and then just copied it back onto the replacement ipod. It had everything, didn't even change ratings, last played, load dates. Album art was even there... _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Well I went into the store and apple only has the one year warranty (didn't get the extened one). So they said they would replace the one I had for $130 or give me 10% off a new one. I'm kinda mad because it's nothing I did to it to make it stop working but oh well such is life. |

SilverMustang35, exactly, that's what I used to do...
Wakeboarding=Life, how far beyond your warranty is it? If it isn't far, you can call and kick up a stink and they will fold... |
