Hi there. I'm EXTREMELY interested in starting to wakeboard... although none of my friends are into it except for one but I can't really be with him. I was just wondering if anyone on here had any ideas how I could get into it. The water, the boat... no problem. The equipment... the experianced person... big problem. LOL! If you have any ideas, please leave me a post or a message. Thanx a bunch!!! |

| maybe go to a camp or something. u probably need to find someone to pull u too. w/o a boat, ur just a stoner on land. u don't need ur own board, but it's good if u do b/c then u can get used to it and u'll get better quicker b/c u don't have to readjust to other ppls boards. |

if you got a boat and someone to drive you your halfway there, just get a board and ride. once you you've done it a few times then maybe try some type of instruction; videos, friends, or try a camp. If you try it first then you will understand the instruction better. good luck _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

You're screwed without a crew to go with, unless you live near a cable or something.
You might con someone to drive for you, but they will soon get bored if they aren't riding themselfs.
use the 'find a pull section', maybe you can hook up with someone from the site, just remember the golden rule - the new guy has to bring:
gas $$
food
beer
chicks.
No exceptions
Good luck, you have chosen an awesome sport. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

| I'd say the best way to start off would be to get someone to let you use their board and try to teach yourself to get up... I didn't have anyone to teach me and I got up first try... |
