				|
 |
				| Ok, here's the deal. I work for a shop that sells both hyperlite, and liquid force. Here in the fall, I'm gonna pro-form(purchase at cost) a new board. My question is, which one? I really wish I had the ability to take all the ones at work out, and try them. Needless to say, it doesn't really work that way. I'm not TOO worried about warranty, although it is nice. Just really looking for performance I guess. Any insight/input would be extremely helpful. _________________

				| liquid forces are in general going to be looser, more free-ride style boards, save for the axis, while hyperlites are going to generally be a little tighte and more abrupt turning. both companies make boards that pop hard and both make boards that wil carry you out into the flats. my recommendation on boots would definitely be liquid force _________________

				| The main things i'm looking for are pop, forgiving landings, and maneuverability for surface tricks. I've noticed that hyperlite has some pretty noticeable 3stage rockers, how are liquid forces? _________________

				| just based upon what you just said, I would definitely look at the LF lineup. I think every single board has rolled edges (not sharp) that make landings much more forgiving, and surface tricks much easier. But don't worry, I don't believe that that slows down your edging ability any at all. I've been riding LF for 5 years now since a HL board and I'll never look back.
Also, on the bindings side, I definitely cote LF too

				| It's a surf shop. The "pros" can tell you exactly what surfboard to buy, but when it comes to wake, not so much. _________________

				| I'm confused... You are aware that each respective company does in fact have more than one board and bindings set yes?
But yet you are asking, strictly, if you should go Liquid Force or Hyperlite?

				| I got an 07 hyperlite Murray and some 08 liquid force vantages and love the set up. Its loose when i want it to be and will set edge great. It has some good pop for a continuous and has some very loft landings. I'm comparing this to an 08 cwb pure ive ridden and an old 04 cwb freedom.
I have not ridden any liquid force boards so i cant compare the hyperlite to the liquid force.

				| You can't really say one company is better than the other where as it's more fair to say that one board is better than another. Since you work in a shop can't you demo the boards? If so demo as many as you can to get the feel for them. | |

				| If you are getting it at pro-form I would get the Marek with some Atlas's and you will be a happy camper. If you are allowed to get more than one board if you break one, I would go with premier's, but only if you can get more than one board at cost because you will break them. I'm on my third premier so far this year but it is an AWESOME board _________________
