Just getting back into wakeboarding after a 10 year hiatus (medical school and residency) Demo board I tried was a CWB Sol, which seemed OK. Before I quit 10 years ago, my main tricks were 360's and heelside grabs w2w. Got back to those tricks pretty quick but was wondering what the next natural progression of things to work on is? Should I focus more on surface tricks or work on more air tricks?

BTW, really like the sol, it 141 which is nice since I am 6'1" and 220. My understanding is its a beginner board but what makes it a beginner board? Seems to cut well and pop good but I really like the soft landings. What CWB board would be similar in size but offer more pop without sacrificing the soft landing?

Thanks
Bill

practice blind 180's and riding switch heel and toe wake to wake, then switch blind 180's

when youve got all those down, you can start working your 3's. when youve got heel and toe 3's. start some basic inverts either a tantrum, backroll or scarecrow.

when you have all those down, then ask again but that should keep ya busy for a whilehe he

Some people like to spin more than invert. Others are the other way round. If you have your heelside w2ws down then try some HS BRs. And yes, all the 180s

Dont get stuck trying to land just one new trick...try 3 or 4 new tricks..try one 2 or three times..then move on to the next one if you dont get it.

that way you wont have a switch becuase both ways will feel the same comfortably wise.
